2011 Bailey Hundo – Racer Instructions June 17th, 2011  (Webpage version)

Hello HUNDO Racer!

The 2nd Annual Bailey HUNDO is tomorrow morning at 6am!

Wheat Ridge Cyclery was electric last night with all the excitement and butterflies of two days before a big ol’ hundred mile race in Bailey. The majority of you showed up for get your racer number, t-shirt, jersey, map, etc and attend one of the MANDATORY racer safety meetings. Thanks for coming out and supporting our amazing partner, Wheat Ridge Cyclery.

For everyone else, you MUST be up in Bailey this afternoon / evening for one of the final two racer safety meetings and to get your pre-HUNDO goodies. We will see you there.

Details:

1. MANDATORY RACER SAFETY MEETINGS AND PACKET PICK-UP: Today, June 17th
Packet Pickup at Platte Canyon Fire Station 2pm – 7pm (Crow Hill)  map
   Meeting #3  3pm – 4pm
   Meeting #4  6pm – 7pm
To receive a race packet and number, all riders must show photo ID, sign a physical waiver and confirm emergency contact information.

2. BERGER PROPERTY CAMPING: Please make sure to RSVP if you are camping.
Please remember that we are all guests on the Berger property and must be respectful and gracious of the use of the beautiful meadow for camping. The being said, pleas practice Leave-No-Trace ethic and do not set up your tent or pop-up camper more than 300 feet from the porta-potties. We do not have full access to the meadow, and the landowners have requested that we remain centralized around the porta-potties. You have permission to leave your tent (and car) in the meadow until 8pm on Saturday.

TO ALL RACERS (and please tell spectators/friends): THERE WILL BE NO CAMPING IN DOWNTOWN BAILEY ON RACE DAY. ALL CARS (except for those staying at the camping area) MUST BE PARKED AT THE SAWMILL PROPERTY (where the HUNDO finished in 2010).  See map. AGAIN, DO NOT PLAN ON PARKING CLOSE TO THE STARTING LINE. YOU MUST PARK AT THE SAWMILL, WHICH IS AN EASY 20 MINUTE BIKE RIDE AWAY FROM THE FINISH LINE.
